We are exploring dissolving the current HOA, and re-establishing a new set procedures for non-compliance that are more compassionate & neighborly. 80% of residents sign this, we can start pursuing proper legal action to make the necessary modifications. The current HOA covenants have been in place for 10 years, and is time for a change.

The HOA has continually proven that they represent a small % of our neighborly interests & attitudes in the way they conduct themselves.

Our HOA should behave representative of leadership committed to helping neighbors who appear to be having an issue with keeping the covenants, rather than patrol, report & cite.

Whether it is a single mother struggling with repairs, an injured father who normally mows the lawn, someone struggling financially - the purpose of the HOA is to maintain the integrity of our nighborhood - not the personal standards of a select few.

The HOA is also far too empowered with ability to pursue legal action against our own residents - including the pursuit of foreclosure over small financial matters. This can not, and should not ever be an option - and should be removed from any HOA's legal authority.

Lastly leadership standards of the HOA need to change from the authoritarian "strong personality" - to a servant leader that is willing to truly serve other neighbors when a leading indicator of a problem manifests itself in the form of an HOA "violation". The HOA resources should be utilized first and foremost to be more neighborly - not create an air of audit, control, & finger pointing.

The #1 issue with HOAs is that are perceived as useless & vindictive...another place for power hungry people to be bullies.
