We, the signers of this petition, hereby appeal to the Erie County Democratic Party Chairperson, Jeremy Zellner, and all of the District 27 chairpersons from Niagara, Genesee, Wyoming, Orleans, Ontario, Livingston and Monroe Counties: Our petition stems from four years of experience trying to work with congressional candidate, and now former Grand Island town supervisor-in-absentia, Nate McMurray. In brief, we have found him to be duplicitous and uncivil, unwilling to work collaboratively, even when town hall was full of resident taxpayers who wanted to have an open discussion with him to get answers about things he was clearly doing against their stated wishes. It is our collective opinion that District 27 voters would benefit from a warning by Grand Island residents based upon our very negative experience.

No show supervisor for the job he was elected to do. Constantly degrades and berates, his fellow town board members
He showed time and time again why he was the wrong choice for GI and now for D27. Not only is he unelectable had he tried for another political post on GI, BUT ALL his endorsed candidates lost in both elections since he took office.

Nate ignored my emails, phone calls, and all attempts to discuss my concerns about the devistating effects of overpopulating and overdeveloping Grand Island. The DEC has marked Grand Island as a max population of 20k for a variety of sustainability reasons both environmental, and economical. He failed to report that Grand Island exceeded density so he could develop. Furthermore the land he developed is the very delicate wetlands that are essential for migratory birds, and other wildlife. Did you know, next to the Gilapagos Islands, the Upper Niagara River Islands, including Grand Island are one of the most vital regions for migratory waterfowl. Too bad it has been destroyed. Nate has and continues to create an Island that I have no doubt as well as several DEC officers, and NOAA officials, that this island will be an example of what not to do, and how our impacts can be devistating on keystone species/environments. THAT... Is not very democratic. Nate needs to go home.

I would not cast a vote for Nate. He has abandoned Grand Island. If ask like a spoiled little crybaby.
Terrible leader who threatens and bullies when he doesn’t get his way.

In my opinion and experience Nate is unethical, dishonest and his behavior is digraceful! He should have been removed from office after his actions at the anti Trump Rally he coordinated. Nate has divided Grand Island so bad and I can’t wait for us to heal as a community January 1st
