DON'T TRANSFER LOYAL STAFF OUT OF THE NHS
Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust are moving closer to setting up a "Wholly Owned Company" to provide facilities and estates services.
These plans would involve transferring over 2,000 dedicated, loyal staff out of NHS employment into a new separate private company owned by the hospital Trust.
UNISON and other NHS Trade Unions are asking the public to sign petitions and make their opinions known before the Leeds Teaching Hospitals Board of Directors meet on the 29th March 2018.
The plans will result in porters, domestic cleaners, ward caterers, procurement staff and potentially many others losing their status as NHS employees.
The plans will also create a TWO tier workforce by employing new staff on inferior terms and conditions. NHS pensions will not be available to new staff and ultimately the quality of patient care could potential suffer.
SAY NO TO WHOLLY OWNED COMPANIES AT LEEDS TEACHING HOSPITALS.
