We are a group of local residents concerned about a music and alcohol licence application for an Oktoberfest to be held in Down Lane park on the 24 October for 4 days. The park will not be accessible to anyone without a ticket which costs up to £65!
This event will hold 2500 intoxicated people and has the potential to be very noisy and disruptive to local residents.
Below is a clip of an incident at the last Oktoberfest in Finsbury Park 2018

If the licence is granted for this commercial event it could be held annually and will set a precedent for similar future events.

Licence application: Oktoberfest 24 to 27 October 2019 – Down Lane Park – Tottenham I object to the commercial use of the residential local Down Lane Park. The park is too small to hold a large amount of intoxicated people with music till late at night. I do not wish to have a repetition of the Oktoberfest as happened last year at Finsbury Park.
I object to commercial use of Down Lane Park for Oktoverfest 2019,because of the litter, intoxicated and antisocial behaviour which this event will bring. In addition the path across the park us used by many residents, including me and my kids,on our way to work and school.I understand that this will be closed off and unusable for residents.
