Do you want all public parks and open area\'s in Chafford Hundred an Alcohol Control Area
We would like the Council to commit to issuing an Designated Public Places Order to all public parks and open area\'s in Chafford Hundred. This would then give the Council the power to place restrictions on drinking in public. While it is not an offence to consume alcohol within a designated area, the police, police community support officers (PCSOs) and people accredited through a community safety accreditation scheme have powers to control the consumption of alcohol within that area. If they believe a person is consuming alcohol or intends to consume alcohol they can: Require them to stop and confiscate the alcohol from a person whether the drinking vessel is unopened or not.
