Dress and Grooming Standards Revision Petition: Well Groomed Facial Hair
Show your support by signing this petition now
BYU banned beards 40 years ago because of the were a symbol of youthful rebellion; now we are left with an outdated policy. Mustaches are still allowed, yet they wield a less-groomed appearance than beards. If BYU seeks to reflect the values of the LDS Church in relation to modesty, they ought to allow beards to be paired with mustaches, to promote professionalism in their students.
Sign if you agree that well-groomed facial hair (beards, goatees, and moustaches) should be added and accepted by the Honor Code. Upon completion this will be submitted in person to the Director of the Honor Code office.
