Commissioner of Public Lands Pat Lyons; WE, the undersigned citizens of Mora County, respectfully yet strongly urge you to refrain from any agreement to sell leases for State lands in Mora County and Colfax County to oil and gas development. We believe it would be a grave mistake to open up this pristine wilderness and highly prized hunting area to the risk of wildlife habitat destruction and pollution of the pure springs and streams and water aquifers that provide the source of water for the surrounding communities and much the county to the south.
