This petition is being created to attract the attention of high officials of the BCB so that they understand our openers' condition, as clearly they just don't seem to see through it. Mohammad Naim, also known as Naim Sheikh, is one of the worst openers to play as an international player for our Bangladesh Cricket Team in the ODI format. Even though he has played 8 ODI matches, he still didn't score more than 100 runs in total.

Though sometimes people struggle at the beginning of their career, the batting technique of a batter shows how good a batsman really is even though he is not scoring runs. MOHAMMAD NAIM DOESN'T HAVE THE BASIC BATTING TECHNIQUES. He misses out on juicy half-volleys, misses out on easy leg-side boundaries, can't rotate the strike taking singles, doesn't have the minimum level of footwork, can't leave a bouncer and gets caught behind, and can't even middle the ball when he is defending. He puts pressure on the other opening batsman to score more runs, just as happened with Miraz in the match against Sri Lanka (9th September 2023). This is also not judging from one match against Sri Lanka, this is from judging all the 8 ODI matches he played.

He might score runs on the list A team, but he is not ready to take up the challenge of a national team opener. The petition is not to drop him for good from the team but to wait until he gets over all these weaknesses.

We have some other options as an opener for Bangladesh. Heck, we have Anamul Haque Bijoy sitting on the bench for the Asia Cup and you are not giving him a single chance. HE HAS A BETTER RECORD THAN MOHAMMAD NAIM DOES!

I hope this message reaches the audience that is responsible for the team selection. Maybe you have a better cricketing sense but we, the general public do not understand why you are giving Naim so many chances in CRUCIAL MATCHES.
