Whereas: Gail King has resigned her position as a member of the Board of Trustees ("Trustees")of the Eanes Independent School District ("EISD")); and Whereas: It is the Policy of the Trustees of EISD that it can elect whether to appoint a member of the community to fulfill the remaining term of a Trustee who has resigned or to call a special election; and Whereas: Sharman Reed was a candidate for election in our last school board election and has demonstrated both the will to serve as a Trustee and the experience as a parent and an extraordinarily involved past volunteer in EISD; Now therefore the undersigned voters in EISD respectfully ask that the Trustees and EISD Administration appoint Sharman Reed to fulfill the term of Gail King. This petition is circulated online and in written form, and both forms of the petition have equal effect.
