End the Hollywood 'Free Polanski' campaign
Please join the Survivors Trust campaign against the Hollywood personalities who have jumped to the defence of film director Roman Polanski after his arrest on the rape of a 13 year old girl. Hollywood names including Woody Allen, David Lynch and Martin Scorsese, to name but a few, have called for Polanski to be freed immediately from arrest in Switzerland on a US extradition warrant. Polanski is wanted for fleeing the US 30 years ago to avoid sentencing after admitting unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977. The grand jury transcripts of the sex abuse case paint a harrowing picture of the events that allegedly unfolded between Polanski and a 13-year-old girl at the home of Jack Nicholson in 1977, including the following.. "I was ready to cry," she said. "I was kind of -- I was going, 'No. Come on. Stop it.' But I was afraid." The actress Whoopi Goldberg said: "I don't believe it was rape-rape. He went to jail and when they let him out he was like, "You know what, this [judge] is going to give me a hundred years in jail. I'm not staying.' So that's why he left." Whoopi, what happened to the Color Purple And what for that matter is 'rape-rape' Rape IS rape. The Survivors Trust is calling for an immediate end to this appalling campaign, which is taking victim blame to a new, yet horrific level. Please sign our petition to bring an end to this campaign and stop the Hollywood 'Free Polanski' movement.
