As a member of the stable group of faithful Catholics who regularly attend Mass in the Extraordinary Form whenever it is offered, in keeping with the Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI’s moto proprio Summorum Pontificum, I petition the Diocese of Raleigh for the establishment of a personal parish for Sacred Liturgy in the Extraordinary Form in the Diocese.
I commit to supporting such a parish with my time, talent, and treasure.
I hope that the personal parish could be located at Sacred Heart Church in downtown Raleigh where there is, at present, no Sunday Mass at all.
[Understanding that the Diocesan Administrator cannot establish any new parish during the interim period while we await the appointment of our new bishop, we request that the Administrator immediately establish a Chapel for weekly Sunday and Holy Day Masses in the EF at the present cathedral, Sacred Heart, as the first step toward the establishment of a personal parish. We hope that the Chapel could begin offering Mass in the Extraordinary Form on Sunday, August 6, AD 2017.]

My husband and I attend the Latin mass in Raleigh every month that we can. We love both the ordinary and extraordinary forms and find they complement each other in important ways.
The Latin Mass brings many souls to Christ, as it did me. It also brought me into conversion into the faith which the Novus Ordo would not have done so readily. Please allow the faithful Catholics to worship their God in the manner they chose. Our predecessors were not in error. Christ gave us the church, not the other way around.
I drive 100 miles each week one way for this Beautiful Mass please do not take this away. The Fraternity of Saint Peter have the Priests to say this Mass!!! We traditional Catholic have no where to go. Pope Benedict said to make this Mass available to the faithful. Please keep this for the faithful. Thank you and God Bless
I am moving back to Raleigh after spending some years in an area filled with TLM Masses, faithful priests, and abundant vocations. I hope that the diocese of Raleigh will recognize the value of this beautiful, time-honored, and increasingly beloved form of the Latin Rite.
Please keep the Extraordinary Form Mass at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dunn. It has been such an important part of my spiritual life. It has drawn me closer to God and I would be lost without it. I travel a long distance to attend Mass there and that is most certainly one of the examples of how much this Mass means to me in my life.
Definitely need the FSSP to be invited into the Diocese to open a parish.
Coming from an area with a regular EF, not having one that is regularly accessible has left a huge void in my heart (and spiritual life)

yes, its simply logical to make the old catherdral a latin mass parish as it is not even being used and there is already a community to come use it immediately
