We the undersigned petition the Prime Minister to Offer an immediate reduction in duty on both petrol and diesel to offset rising oil prices.
People throughout the UK are struggling to meet the basic cost of living as a result of spiraling fuel costs. The Fair on Fuel campaign urges the government to remedy this through the reduction of duty.
With over 70% of fuel cost going to the government it is simply not acceptable to say nothing can be done. The American government has recently reduced the duty on fuel as a means of controlling prices. For the good of the vast population of the UK we believe our government should follow their lead.
The momentum behind this campaign is now undeniable as more people recognize the necessity of addressing these rising costs. Your commitment to this cause provides the leverage required to keep our demands in front of the government.

My husband and I are choosing between heating the house or filling the car. This is not living it is just surviving.

Absolutely insane how much we get taxed at the pump. How are families supposed to get to work and school? Help us out for once!

Ridiculous prices. I drive for a living and half my paycheck just goes into the tank now. Need a break.
