As most of you know, over the last few years our school has experienced tremendous cuts. These range from a reduction in instructional supplies to a loss of essential programs that impact many children (Challenge and Enrichment, Clusters and Spanish). There has also been an adoption of guidelines that will potentially increase class sizes over the years. These guidelines were adopted based upon the projected decrease in student population, even though; the school has seen an increase of students in the past few years. The Board of Education has adopted budgets with 0% increase over the past few years. This has made it nearly impossible to maintain the quality of education our children deserve. At this point, we  want to ask the Board of Finance to increase the school’s budget to restore some of these important services. If you are interested in supporting this cause, please attend any meetings possible and sign the petition below.
