Dear Colors,

This is a Fans petition to bring back Chand Jalne Laga Season 2. Season 2 is in trend and this show deserves to be given the opportunity to prove its worth.

Chand Jalne Laga was promoted as an intense love story after a long time on Colors since Madhubala, Fans embraced the show due to their trust in the channel to deliver as promised. And it immediately caught the attention of audience due to the sizzling chemistry of the new leads who hardly many people knew. The show also brought back many viewers who had stopped watching ITV for a long time. AND – ta da – the show proved its prowess in every aspect very early on. Catchy title song, magnificent sets, beautiful outdoor locations, soulful music, excellent direction, brilliant writing, right use of nature, inclusion of animals, etc. And to give life to these, 2 very compatible leads, whose sizzling & mesmerizing chemistry was evident in the first 5 episodes itself. The hard work of production staff & post production was evident in every episode.

When something so beautiful ended so abruptly, it left a void amongst the fans & audience. They were disappointed. The show, which had so much potential to become the next big thing in ITV, didn’t get enough time to prove its worth, no proper closure for the fans to a lovely storyline and the beautiful Jodi that fans fell in love with. Fans felt that a beautiful story was ruined with irrelevant tracks which didn’t add value and wrapped up for reasons, irrelevant for fans. Most importantly the chemistry of the leads remained unexplored.

In ITV, no differences, no egos are bigger than the audience. Fans/Audience don’t know what goes behind the scenes or care for it. There is a lot which still can be explored in this show. Many tracks remain unexplored - Deva's childhood, out of jail period, Malik surname, Deva's real father & family, his equation with them, Arjun angle can be explored, Farwari, Ananya, etc. And looking at how the leads #Kavi are still trending it is a good opportunity to capitalize on them while fans are still desperate to see them together and see a proper end to the show.

From a business perspective also it makes sense. In general, 9.30pm slot has been a TRP issue for Colors in the past, with shows getting around 0.8 or 0.7 TRP. This drought was broken by #CJL which opened with 1.2TRP. Unfortunately, the strategic team didn’t give the show enough time to allow TRP to stabilize or assess the new found success and changed the time slot to make way for Balam which also didn’t do too well. All the good work done by #CJL to lift this slot went down the drain.

Fans have not had enough of this show. The magical chemistry of the leads is still the USP and quite hot. Fans want that Colors re-think their decision and bring back the show as Season 2, even if it means slight story adjustments to cater for after marriage tracks.

Finally, once again, this is a solemn request from the Fans to please bring back Season 2 of this show with our favorite Leads – Vishal Aditya Singh and Kanika Mann.
