This is the story of the Annis family in Portsmouth, NH who have been seeking to bring their two horses, Tommy & Bugsie, home to their nearly 4 acre parcel of land adjacent to hundreds of acres of conservation land on the outskirts of Portsmouth, NH. Due to the opinions of a handfull of neighbors on one side of their land, the City of Portsmouth denied their request even though all obvious criteria for "farm animals" had been met. Instead, the city chose a vague criteria of not being met in that they believed the "characterisitcs of the neighborhood" would be changed by the presence of the two horses. It is the hope that more logical and realistic minds will porevail and that the city will see the error of their ways and make amends to allow farm animals on properties that are sufficient and viable enough to have them.
