Commissioner Fiala: We, the undersigned have a fervent desire to reform city government. We believe that it's not too much to expect that our public officials be both honest and competent. We believe the office of NYC Comptroller should be occupied by someone who understands the importance of public service and has a record of significant accomplishment. Furthermore, we believe that you are that candidate. We recognize that you have a terrific job and you enjoy serving the people of Staten Island very much. Nevertheless, these are perilous times and we ask that you become a candidate for Comptroller to help restore New York City to a position where we are the envy of the world both politically and fiscally. Please don't ignore this clarion call.
