This petition is against Rio-Tinto/IOC's proposal to have a permanent fly-in/fly-out workforce in Labrador West. A workforce of this nature has many negative community issues such as the erosion of our tax base, fi-fo workers usually don't support any community organizations, it stunts the growth of a community, there's more criminal activity with transients, and many more negatives.
