A disconcerting injustice is stirring in America, the land of the free. A friend and model citizen, Evelyn Gonzalez, is being deported. Though she is not a legal residence of the United States, she has personified what it is to truly be American over the twenty-plus years that she has lived in the United States, through hard-work and a consistent moral behavior. This is a petition to prevent the impending deportation of Evelyn Gonzalez, a person who has exemplified the kind of person that is desired and sorely needed in America today. THE FACTS: Evelyn was born in Guatemala in February of 1985. The fallowing year her parents immigrated to the United States, to escape the impoverished and civil-war ravaged Guatemala. Evelyn is now twenty-two years old. Over the years that she has resided in America, Evelyn attended Lexington (Nebraska) Public Schools. In high school she was involved in several extra-curricular activities, including soccer, cheerleading, pep club, and the Governor
