Our estate has recently been subject to a few burglaries. We, as residents, or as friends of residents, are obviously concerned about this issue and are trying to prevent any more crimes more taking place. A large part of our estate is surrounded by a poorly lit path, which even in the daylight, is still quite sheltered, and it seems has quite possibly provided an access point of escape for recent burglaries. Whilst we would ideally like this path to be closed altogether, we understand that this would be difficult for you to proceed with. We would however, ask for extra lighting to be erected or for extra lighting (directed onto the path area and the estate itself) to be added to the lighting that already exists. We would also welcome any more ideas as to how the paths can be made more secure to deter these from being used as easy access points for any possible future crime
