Jerry Jones has been GM of a mediocre football team for the last fifteen years. If he was GM of any other football team, other than the one he owns, he would have been fired many years ago. Here are the demands of this petition: 1 - To preserve the good name of the Dallas Cowboys, we the fans, who pour our hard-earned money into this famous franchise via ticket, memorabilia, and other purchases, demand that Jerry Jones the Owner of the Dallas Cowboys, fire Jerry Jones the GM of the Dallas Cowboys. 2 - We also demand that Jerry Jones NOT hand the GM role to a family member, but that he hire the very best GM with a proven track record of success in the NFL. 3 - Jerry Jones is to remove himself from all decisions on personnel, and coaching staff. He is to hand that role to the newly appointed General Manager and offer him his full support as long as the team is winning and or heading in the right direction. 4 - Jerry Jones must understand that he is the problem. Because of his continued arrogance, meddling nature and stubbornness, the best football management talent refuses to work for him. He is to swear that he will not hire a puppet GM. If Jerry Jones does not agree to the terms of this petition, he acknowledges that we the fans, will stop purchasing any and all tickets and memorabilia until he does carry out the demands of this petition.
