The undersigned residents of Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph are outraged that the path between Lachish and the Mercaz is being constructed without a contiguous path for strollers. Without such a path, the women and men of Ramat Beit Shemesh Aleph will be forced to drag their strollers up 12 steps toward Lachish and bump them down 12 steps toward the Mercaz. There is absolutely no reason for such an inconvenience. Any sane plan would have the upper and lower parts of the stroller path connect. We demand that the Beit Shemesh Iriya take immediate action to connect the upper and lower sections of the path.
The city council has ignored my requests for a meeting about the stairs between Lachish and the Mercaz. Call the municipal office today to demand they address this dangerous design flaw. Post the link to this petition on your Facebook wall so they cannot ignore the growing pressure.

The momentum behind this petition is undeniable and clearly shows the city that our neighborhood will not accept these stairs. Call the municipal planning office today and demand they revise the path to remove the steps.

it is honestly insane to think people can just carry a heavy stroller up those stairs. have they ever tried it themselves with a sleeping baby??
