Visitation Policies in the state of Florida need revision. Immediate family members are denied visitation due to a misdemeanor probation period, (such as, DUI) and are not allowed visits until one year following expiration of probationary period. However, the correctional officers that staff and supervise our family members are only disqualified from potential employment due to a "felony or misdemeanor of domestic abuse, drugs, or perjury."
