The Fort Cherry School District in Washington County Pennsylvania does not have a way to control the indoor air quality (IAQ) during the summer months. This includes the elementary, middle and high schools. There are children that have ailments and end up missing school during the hot months because they do not have the proper equipment to provide proper air circulation in the classrooms. The only areas that have this is the barricaded main offices. The children are coming home sick often and are coming home on the verge of heat exhaustion because they have small fans blowing hot outdoor air into the school but nothing pushing the air back out to maintain proper circulation. Signing this petition may help in changing their lack of effort to do this. Even if it is not for this school year but the following, it is still a change that can be looked forward to and that will give the parents of these children a piece of mind that their children are not going be sick constantly and that they do not have to worry so much about the possibility of their children falling out during the day.
