Jimmie is finally coming home and I am honestly shaking as I type this because after all those years of silence the courts actually moved. It feels surreal and heavy and wonderful all at once but we are watching closely to make sure the release happens exactly as promised.

I really thought this might just float around in the void but seeing this much movement is honestly so surreal and heartbreaking all at once because it just keeps reminding me that Jimmie has been sitting there for way too long. It is wild that people are actually listening now so I am going to try and get a local outlet to pick this up because we cannot just let this momentum fade away into nothingness.

Every time I turn around one of my African American brothers are falsley accused of a crime. This time it's close to home, please free my brother Jimmie C. It's been proven that he's innocent.
I know this man and his case personally. Something has to be done about the justice system in West Virginia. Freeing Jimmie would be a good place to start
After reading over this story on Zain..this case should clearly be reopened and free Jimmie C Gardner..who has been wrongfully accused. .FREE JIMMIE C. GARDNER
I worked in the law library with him at old skool Moundsville. Good Brotha that deserves his freedom after years of WRONGFUL IMPRISONMENT.
What happened to a "fair and speedy" trial? If Fred Zain was known for tampering with this case and others, why isn't there a sense of urgency. Furthermore, it was ordered by the supreme courts to give him a new trial. 18 years later means he's serving time awaiting to be found innocent.

Please drop this whole case and let him try to live the rest of his life in peace. He did not do this crime. WV should be paying him and not re-trialing him. Janis Rezek
