We Are All Shahrokh Zamani

The Islamic Regime of Iran Will be Held Accountable for Shahrokh Zamani’s Life and Well-being

Mr. Shahrokh Zamani, a member of the Founding Board of the Syndicate of Paint Workers of Tehran and the Committee to Pursue the Establishment of Workers Organizations, sentenced to 11 years imprisonment on the vague charges of “propaganda against the state” and “acting against national security, none of which is a recognizable criminal offence in any civil society, has been on a hunger strike since March 8, 2014 in protest to the closure of Rajaie Shahr prison’s library.

Three days after being on the hunger strike, Mr. Shahrokh Zamani was unjustifiably transferred to the Ghezelhesar Prison in Karaj; houses only inmates charged with drug-related crimes .Since then he has continued his hunger strike.

Shahrokh Zamani must not die. His life has been placed in immense danger and we are convinced that the world will be a witness to this crime committed by the Iranian regime. Let’s not to forget that Shahrokh Zamani and all his fellow labour activists and unionists are locked in jails across Iran for the exercise of their rights to freedom of expression, assembly ,and association. For their rights to the establishment of independent trade unions and their aspiration for a world free from exploitations and inequality will not end with their callous imprisonments.

Being determined to crush the independent trade unions and lock all the labour activists and unionists in jail, The Iranian regime has sought to uproot the thought of unionization of the workplaces and as a result demoralize and silence the labour activists to pursue the non negotiable belief that the workers’ rights are the fundamental human rights and they will not stop believing in a cause that very much is bound with their destinies; creation of a world manifested by labour democracy, equality, and dignity. We will not wither away and so our aspirations.

We call upon the progressive international community not to fail to voice Shahrokh Zamani’s aspirations for materializing a world free from pain, suffering, poverty, humility, and inequality.

We are convinced that Shahrokh Zamani has been punished by the Iranian regime all along since his arrest for continuing to be an unending gist of bravery, struggling with unjust exercise of class power, transferring his solidarity messages, and encouragement to the outside world endlessly, despite the tight security measures enforced in the regime’s prisons and its life threatening environment. This is what the Iranian regime cannot come to grips with. Shahrokh Zamani continued to fight for labours, poor, and disadvantaged, from inside his prison and so must we from the outside.

His fight worth a world that we have envisioned for long and we are not going to be silenced either by the Iranian regime, or by the Imperialists. Shahrokh Zamani is a prisoner of conscience and we urge the Iranian regime to recognize the unwavering rights of Shahrokh Zamani and his imprisoned fellow workers to the establishment of genuine workers' organizations, and immediately halt its harsh treatment of the worker activists, abductions, and imprisonment of the union leaders, and worker activists.

We call upon our fellow worker activists and international comrades to stand with us in condemning the Iranian regime for its unlawful practices in years and denial of democratic rights of the Iranian people to expression, assembly, and press in general and workers rights to establish their independent unions, particularly.

We ask our comrades on the side of justice and freedom, to be Sahrokh’s voice, and reflect upon our appeal to the Iranian regime for Shahrokh Zamani’s freedom. Be our voice across the globe and force the Iranian regime to adhere to Sharokh Zamani’s request to be transferred back to his previous prison for now-and free his life for a crime that he never committed. We also urge the Iranian regime to free all other union leaders such as Reza Sahabi, Mohammad Jarahi, Behnam Ebrahimzadeh, Rasoul badaghi, and all other worker and political activist who are also imprisoned on the vague charges immediately and unconditionally.

Comrades, we express our deep gratitude for your profound support of workers’ genuine causes both in Iran and around the globe throughout the years, winning what we have achieved by now, but our path to freedom has never been easy and would never be. We must therefore conclude that our struggle for a classless society will live with us with no compromise.

ما همه شاهرخ زمانی هستیم

نظام اسلامی ایران باید در قبال جان شاهرخ زمانی پاسخگو باشد!

شاهرخ زمانی عضو هیات بازگشایی سندیکای کارگران نقاش و تزئینات ساختمان تهران و عضو کمیته پیگیری برای ایجاد تشکل‌های کارگری، که به ۱۱ سال حبس تعزیری با اتهامات واهی «تبلیغ علیه نظام» و «اقدام علیه امنیت ملی» محکوم شده است، از تاریخ ۲۰ اسفندماه ۱۳۹۲ در اعتراض به بستن کتابخانه زندان رجایی شهر دست به اعتصاب غذا زده است.۳ روز پس از آغاز اعتصاب غذا، شاهرخ زمانی به زندان قزل حصار کرج منتقل شد، جایی که هم‌بندان او محکومان به جرم‌های مرتبط با قاچاق مواد مخدر هستند. او به اعتصاب غذای خود ادامه داد.

شاهرخ زمانی نباید بمیرد. زندگی او در خطری جدی ست و ما بر این باوریم که جهان شاهد جنایتی خواهد بود که نظام جمهوری اسلامی ایران مرتکب خواهد شد. فراموش نکنیم که شاهرخ زمانی و تمام فعالان کارگری و نمایندگان تشکل‌های کارگری در سراسر ایران در بازداشت به سر می برند تنها به جرم آن که برای احقاق حقوق خود در راه آزادی بیان و تشکل‌ها فعالیت کرده‌اند. حق‌شان در راستای بنا گذاشتن اتحادیه‌های مستقل و تلاش‌هایشان جهت دستیابی به دنیایی بدون استثمار و نابرابری با در بند کشیدن آن‌ها پایان نخواهد یافت.

نظام جمهوری اسلامی ایران که مصرانه تشکل‌های مستقل را توقیف و تمام فعالان کارگری و اتحادیه‌ای را به بند می کشد، تلاش کرده است تا تفکر ایجاد تشکل‌های کارگری را در مکان‌های کار از ریشه برکند و در نتیجه آن را ضداخلاقی تصویر کرده و فعالان کارگری را به سکوت وادار کند. تا به دنبال این باور نروند که حقوق کارگران، حقوق پایه‌ای انسان است و آن‌ها به هیچ دلیلی محکوم به سرنوشت خود نیستند و جهانی زیر گستره‌ی دموکراسی کارگری، برابری و شرافت بسازند. ما نمی‌هراسیم و از تلاش خود نمی‌کاهیم.

ما جمعیت‌های جهانی را فرا می‌خوانیم تا نگذارند صدای تلاش‌های شاهرخ زمانی برای تحقق جهانی بدون رنج، درد، فقر، تبعیض و نابرابری خاموش شود.

شاهرخ زمانی زندانی وجدان است. و نظام اسلامی ایران باید بی هیچ قید و شرطی حقوق شاهرخ زمانی و فعالان کارگری را برای ایجاد تشکل‌های کارگری مستقل به رسمیت بشناسد و بلافاصله به رفتار خشن خود در مورد فعالان کارگری، دستگیری و زندانی شدن رهبران تشکل های کارگری پایان دهد.

ما فعالان کارگری جهانی را فرا می خوانیم که در کنار ما بایستند و رژیم جمهوری اسلامی را برای شیوه‌های غیر قانونی خود و انکار حقوق دموکراتیک مردم ایران و برای آزادی بیان و مطبوعات، گردهمایی به طور اعم و حقوق کارگران برای ایجاد تشکل‌های مستقل کارگری به طور اخص محکوم کنند.

ما از تمام انسان‌های آزاده که در جهت برافراشتن پرچم آزادی و عدالت ایستاده اند می خواهیم که انعکاس صدای شاهرخ زمانی شوند و و بر خواست آزادی شاهرخ زمانی از زندان های جمهوری اسلامی پای فشارند.

ما مصرانه خواهان آزادی بی‌قید و شرط تمام رهبران تشکل‌های کارگری منجمله شاهرخ زمانی، رضا شهابی، محمد جراحی، بهنام ابراهیم زاده ، رسول بداغی، پدارم نصرالهی و تمام کارگران و فعالان سیاسی دیگر هستیم که همچنان بر اساس احکام نا روشن در زندان هستند.

ما، همچنین، قدردانی عمیق خود را از حمایت بی دریغ شما در حمایت از مبارزه واقعی طبقه کارگر در جهان اعلام می‌کنیم.
