sadly on the 12th of march 2008 Allan Peter Craig was sentenced to six months in durham prison charged with escaping from police custody on august 5th 2007 after a fight (which allan was not involved in!!!)that broke out outside two night clubs in berwick upon tweed northumberland.....he was also charged with affray(which was the reason he was arrested)...but was later found not guilty of affray by a jury at newcastle crown court....but for some reason he was found guilty of escaping from lawful custody when infact he had done nothing wrong so the argument still stands....an innocent man jailed for being a peacekeeper(which police wittnesses...the ones that arrested him even agreed he was not looking for trouble but simply trying to calm the sittuation down)....if he was not guilty of affray and was put into a police van without being told he was arrested....then he is not infact guilty of escape.....but why he has been convited of escape...we do not know!!!!! Please give your support and help by signing this petiton and help the movement of justice for an innocent working class man jailed for simply trying to calm down a situation which was taken out of hand by northumbria police!!!!!

Seeing two hundred and fifty people acknowledge the injustice Allan faces is a sobering reminder of why this campaign exists. This milestone confirms that others recognize the deep flaw in his conviction. Your willingness to look at the facts of his case gives me hope that we can correct this wrong.

Seeing this groundswell of support reminds me that the truth of what happened to Allan is far more powerful than the silence surrounding his case. Your interest acknowledges the injustice he faced while trying to do the right thing for others. This momentum gives me hope that a fair review of these events will finally occur.

Reaching one hundred signatures will provide a necessary baseline of public attention as we seek to clarify the events surrounding this conviction. Please help us maintain this momentum by sending the link to those who believe in a fair outcome for Allan.

Northumbria police as usual. They just want someone to blame for the mess. Free Allan.

Poor guy was in the wrong place at the wrong time trying to do the right thing for once. Let him go home.
