As you may have already read, either through social media or newspapers, theatre veteran Tim Roberts has been forced to resign after over three decades of being a successful theatre technician. This action took place after the slander, character assassination and threats that were received through the social media dragon den that is Twttier. To the shock and dismay of many Tim was put under scrutiny due to a comment made on his Twitter account.

The angle of this petition is to help Tim take back his freedom of speech and allow him his livelihood back once again.

Twitter is a social media site. It is something to be used in downtime and for pleasure. Business and pleasure do not mix very well and the fact that Tim had been investigated and put under disciplinary action is appalling and dispicable. What is said on your own free time be it online or in person is nothing to do with a persons career nor a viable way in order to be reprimanded through their career.
