Fund Liposarcoma Research
A cure for one is a cure for all.
Retroperitoneal liposarcoma is a rare form of cancer which has a high recurrence rate despite the best efforts of the best oncologists in the world. Recurrences are routinely resistant to the current forms of treatment. More funding for research is needed to discover new avenues to target this form of cancer. It is also possible advances in liposarcoma research could shed light on other types of cancers making a cure for one, a cure for all.
Please sign and share this petition to support a research grant by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to help fund a new research project for liposarcoma.
Proposed title: Understanding How the Immune Response to Cancer Stem Cells Shapes the Development of High Grade Disease in Retroperitoneal Liposarcoma
Principal investigator: Dr. William Tseng.
The proposed project will take 5 years and is estimated to cost $2,000,000.
