We the undersigned believe that the location of a proposed basketball court at Mumford-Gateway Park, located at the intersection of Route 20 & Flatland Road is not in the best interest of the residents it means to serve.

Among the factors of our concern are access and safety for children, potential environmental issues in regards to its location at a watershed and lack of planning for maintenance and upkeep.

While we believe that the Town needs more facilities for activities, this location is not the the right choice for this kind of activity.

We ask that the town immediately call a public meeting regarding this project and if there is genuine concern, reconsider the facility at this location and explore a better location for the Town.
