Here is the deal:

Elvira, Mistress of the Dark (beloved horror host, counter-culture icon, Halloween goddess, animal rights hero and LGTB advocate) is showing no signs of slowing down: she's got a new movie in the works, she's appearing at every horror convention on the planet and her autobiography comes out Halloween of 2020.

She's even pitching a new version of her now-legendary horror hosting show Movie Macabre (or a new as-yet-unnamed horror hosting show).

Sadly, both Netflix and Shudder (an all horror network owned by AMC) have turned her down.

See her Tweet about this for more information.

As a massive fan of Elvira, I am taking it upon myself to mobilize the horror community, (and even the non-horror community) who have stood by this woman for over 30 years and made her the icon she is today, to prove to Shudder that WE WANT ELVIRA... AND WE WANT HER ON SHUDDER (where she belongs)!

Please sign this petition, Tweet about this (#PutElviraOnShudder) and e-mail Shudder.

You can do this a few ways.

If you are a Shudder subscriber, fill out the "Member Support-Related Issues" form here.

Or, you can request a title (title it something like "Elvira's Movie Macabre 2020") on this form.

If you are not a Shudder member, please join and let them know that the only way you will continue on as a Shudder subscriber is if they #PutElviraOnShudder!

And if you are not a member of Shudder, and don't want to join until they #PutElviraOnShudder, you can e-mail them at:

support@shudder.desk-mail.com

(My contact there is named Kyla).

Ideally, our movement is aiming to get Elvira's Movie Macabre (or, again a new horror hosting show as-yet-unnamed) on Saturday nights on Shudder, so that horror fans have their Fridays with Joe Bob's Last Drive-In and their Saturday nights with Elvira.

But, in all honesty, whatever day/time slot they put her show (as long as Elvira has a new weekly show on Shudder) we will be happy!

We all know Elvira is sexier than all the Suicide Girls combined and funnier than Tina Fey on her best day. Now let's show Shudder that we want the Queen of Halloween in our homes, on their network, every week!

Let's mobilize and strike a blow for women's rights (women in entertainment), for counter-culture (specifically, but not limited to, the horror community) for animal rights and for the sake of our entertainment (which is what helps us through the drear rat race of modern existence).

Unpleasant dreams!
