Dear Senator Sessions, Recently, the U.S. Senate in a bipartisan effort voted 75-22 to make public education more affordable for veterans at in-state universities. This is a step towards honoring the troops that put their lives on the line. Sen. Richard Shelby voted in favor of this bill, while you opposed this important piece of legislation that is favored by Veterans Organizations. I disagree with your contention that supporting increased educational benefits for veterans would cause retention problems. Supporting our troops means more than photos opportunities and lip service speeches. A strong GI Bill will enhance military recruitment and encourage our troops that they can receive a quality education. We are close to signing an important piece of legislation and we urge you to ask the President not to veto this bill. Signed by Your Name Phone Number

REALLY disappointed in this vote. these people gave everything for our country and they deserve an education without going into massive debt. fix it.

My dad served and this is the least they can do for men and women coming home. Do the right thing for once.
