This petition is in support of keeping the green area of Gilroy avenue as a green area and not as a proposed area for the building of a new swimming pool. We believe that the green area is one of the remaining few green areas in the town of Edenderry and as such believe it should be kept as such rather than as a proposed area for a new swimming pool. We are in principle not against the idea of a new swimming pool in the town but just not in this area particularly when there are a lot of unused areas and sites in the town.
