GLENCOE VILLAGE ENTRANCE ENHANCEMENT
Following recent work by Scottish Water at Glencoe Crossroads a flat area of land on the Morraich is now available for use as a recreational site. With funding from the SEPA Clean-Up Project the Community Council has fenced off the ground from the main road to prevent it being used by fly-tippers. We now wish to landscape the area with indigineous shrubs, hedging, walkways, topsoil and grass before adding benches and tables. We believe we can create a recreational area where local people and visitors alike can sit or stroll while taking in the splendid views of Loch Leven and the surrounding mountains. Using the area in this way is a means also of preventing it becoming an overgrown eyesore. To enable us to achieve our aims we have applied for grant funding from LEADER. As part of our application we have to show a degree of community support for our plans so we are asking you to sign this petition to show that you support us in our objectives.
