Hey guys, hope you're all doing well :) me and my lovely neighbours are having some problems with our gardens, where the grass is very wet and muddy even when it's not been raining! We've sought advice from professionals and they seem to think it's due to a lack of adequate drainage being installed, meaning that when it rains the water just sits there rather than draining away! We've brought it up with persimmon who have installed something (not sure what) in our gardens but again it's not made much of a difference. My neighbour spoke with a professional again who said the only way to resolve it would be to get drainage put in all the way along so was hoping that if enough of us have the same issue we can all go to persimmon together and try and get some sort of resolution.

Our back garden is the same water sits on the back corner. Recently found that in the field behind There is a burst pipe further up the hill and the water is running down the hill and settling behind our back fences! Don't think this helps the case!?

Our garden slopes towards our house. We were really concerned about this so are in the middle of decking the bottom area. Hope it resolves the problem! Not right that everyone cannot utilize their garden. Also not impressed with what we have dug up in the process! Found a huge metal sign in the mud, that can't be helping with drainage!

I am in the same boat. The garden been a boggy mess since day I got it. I have had professionals out to look at it but the issue lies with what is below the soil. It is clay saturated, that is why the water just sits there. I have had drainage put in but only at the 3 m mark, which has not helped.

We've had major issues with water all around our house, unfortunately we stay at the bottom of a hill. Have asked the question where the water is going i.e. Foundations of the house but was told definitely not however now have dampness inside my house where the water lay!!

Garden is just a mud bath with the same issues as other residents. The garden needs the lawn lifted proper drainage installed and new turf put down as it is not repairable otherwise. Absolutely disgraceful that Persimmons would not have known this at start of build.

My garden is a disgrace. My son is two and he cannot play in his own garden as he sinks into the grass. I would never have bought this house if I had known the garden would have been permanently a no go area! Something needs to be done.

Plot 227 (3A Glenmill Way) back garden like a swamp despite Persimmons solution to put chips down outside by back door. Not acceptable.

Both building companies and the council will do nothing without a collective push
