Being that Windows XP is still Microsoft's 2nd most used operating system still in use. I think google should reconsider and continue to support Microsoft's most efficient and ergonomic operating system to date. The amount of hardware waste that is going to be generated by not supporting perfectly good equipment is a shame...
There are a lot of Vista and XP customers, Windows 10 is the most vulnerable version of Windows and you are recommending people change to it. That is irresponsible and you should continue to support Vista and XP AT LEAST until operation systems are safe enough to use.
If you continue with this abandonment, you will lose me as a customer and I am a daily user, as long as many others.

Google could at least provide security updates only.

I have no intention to give up XP. Third party services such as "AVAST the great" are helping us. As a google user, I am very dissatisfied. Hey Google, What goes around, comes around. Your loyal customer base made you what you are, and they can take you down in a few years time!!!!

When Google was just a start-up, it would beg us to use and promote it. Now that it is wealthy, it has forgotten its customer base. That is the story of justice on this forsaken planet! Shame on you Google!!!

As of today, February 19, 2016, Windows 10 is now the most vulnerable version of Windows according to data from the NIST's National Vulnerability Database and from CVSS scoring (weighted overall vulnerability.) Also, WinXP near identical cousin, PosReady 2009 is supported to 2019 (and a *very* simple patch lets regular XP Pro SP3 gets its updates.) Google's "reasoning" is complete BS.
