We of the Gpk community are displeased with current conditions, regulations put upon artists by Topps. The art created by these artists are held in very high regard within the Gpk community.

The following suggestions ought to be considered by Topps. If Topps does not make the following changes, then members of the Gpk community will boycott any future release of Garbage Pail Kids brand trading cards.

1. More time for sketch artists to complete sketch cards.

Reasoning: if artists have more time, then the art will be of higher quality. Higher quality sketch cards will only increase the marketability of the Gpk brand.

2. Higher pay per sketch card.

Reasoning: the sketches created by the artists are held in very high regard by members of the Gpk community. The time commitment on the part of artists is not insignificant.

3. The new policy for "return sketches" should be removed. Returns are highly personalized, tailored to the buyers desires. By having the return sketches done beforehand, there is no guarantee that those sketch cards will be purchased. Furthermore, return sketches offer both financial opportunities and greater artistic freedom (pending Topps approval) for the artists.
