As working mothers/fathers, many of us cannot watch Great Expectations during the day. Many of us don't have pvr decoders/video machines to record the program. Stay at home parents don't always have the time to watch during weekdays as washing, ironing and tending to the kids does not keep to television's schedule.

Although the website states the following: "Great Expectations is aimed primarily at women on maternity leave. It’s designed to help young mums with that life changing transition from woman to mother."

It is not only women on maternity leave that watch or could benefit from watching the repeats. There are dads, working mums, young mums, old mums, grandparents, future parents etc that watch and enjoy the programme just as much as anyone else!

If you would like e.tv to bring back the Great Expectations repeats on weekends, please sign this petition.

Reaching this level of support confirms that the need for flexible viewing times is shared by many more people than I initially imagined. It is encouraging to see such collective agreement that parenting resources should be accessible to everyone regardless of their busy schedules.

Seeing one hundred people come together around this issue confirms that the current broadcast schedule does not align with the reality of our busy lives. This milestone highlights how many of us share the same frustration regarding the accessibility of this program.
