I am writing to nominate Cleveland Browns running back Greg Pruitt for induction into the NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame.

He gained a total of 13,262 career rushing yards, placing fifth behind Jim Brown, O.J. Simpson, Franco Harris, and Walter Payton.

His 4.71 yards average per carry was tops among active players with at least 230 carries. In 1974, he topped the AFC in kickoff returns with a 27.5 yard average.

He lead the Browns in total rushing yards for five consecutive years.

In 1981, Pruitt caught 65 passes, ranking #1 among all AFC league running backs.

During 1983, he was the second leading kickoff returner in the AFC and ranked third in the NFL, helping the Los Angeles Raiders win the NFL Championship in Super Bowl XVIII.

During his career, Greg starred in five NFL Pro Bowls.
