Keep Class Sizes Small in Glendale
KEEP CLASS SIZES SMALL IN GLENDALE
Due to the budget crisis, our School Board is weighing various cuts and changes for next year. One of those changes involves increasing class sizes in Kindergarten through 3rd grade by almost 50 %. The result will be 1 teacher for every 30 students. What will this mean for your child, your neighbor's child and the children of Glendale?
- Many teachers losing their jobs.
- Less attention for these children at a time when they need it most.
- Decline in student achievement along with overall academic performance of our elementary schools.
What does this mean for you? Lower property values!
Our children might not have a voice but we as parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbors and friends do. Stand up for the children of Glendale. Protect our school system and show the School Board that smaller class sizes must be a priority when weighing budget cuts. Show our School Board we have a strong, united voice. Our K-3 classes cannot go above 24 students. It is not in the best interest of our kids, our schools or our community.
By signing this ipetition you are letting the GUSD School Board know that you support keeping class sizes small and teachers in the classroom.
