Upon being temporarily closed on March 23rd due to the new imposed restrictions, outside of what the State of Missouri has imposed, The Jefferson County Health Dept has deemed that fitness facility's & gyms be deemed non - essential businesses. We are asking to be reinstated as an ESSENTIAL business.

As we all deal with the recent outbreak of COVID-19 The Dungeon Gym believes it is important to take the proper protocol and procedures to ensure the safety of all people during these unknown times. However, we also believe in the need for people to be able to stay healthy and active as we all face this pandemic to keep immune systems strong and active all while enforcing a strong gym health protocol.

The Dungeon-Titone Pro Gym has been a staple in the Jefferson County Community since our doors opened in 2016. Not only do we provide a healthy, clean, and safe environment for the citizens of Jefferson County and the surrounding areas, but we also have a large number of first responders,which includes several Arnold and Jefferson County police officers, paramedics and firefighters who count on our gym to deal with their day to day livelihood both physically and emotionally. Resistance training is proven to raise white blood cells. It is proven fact that a healthy body produces a higher immune system. Keeping our first responders healthy promotes continued safety for the citizens.

Since this pandemic has made its way to the United States we have followed every CDC guideline and State mandate. Upon issuing the public gathering restriction of 10 or less, we complied with additional restrictions on our own. We have implemented a thermometer gun to test for high temperatures upon entering the building, required our members to sign a release that states they do not have a fever or any flu like symptoms and ask each private member if they have traveled outside the country or have come in contact with anyone that has in the last 14 days. Also, during this crisis, The Dungeon-Titone Gym isn't open to the public but only our members. In addition, we provide alcohol wipes to members of our gym to used before and after touching gym equipment. We clean and sterilize the entire gym after each day, and we limit the number of members inside the gym at only 10 at a time.

We are requesting that with this petition we can have The Dungeon-Titone Pro Gym a PRIVATE member ONLY GYM, be classified as an essential business during this Stay Home Order.
