The silence from the council office is frustrating but I am still spending my afternoons chasing down answers. This fight is wearing me down yet I refuse to let them drop a compactor into the middle of our homes without a struggle.

Are you kidding me? A trash compactor in the middle of a neighborhood?? Keep that junk out of our backyards.
The smell alone is gonna be terrible for the families living right next door. Put it somewhere else where it belongs.
