Hasbro Studios: Please Make Littlest Pet Shop Movie Finale
Everyone who likes Littlest Pet Shop remembers the day that the finale for the 2012 series aired: June 4, 2016. But this happened for a very sad, sad reason. The toy sales for this show were greatly declining, which led to the announcement back in 2015 that Season 4 of LPS – will be its last. Hasbro Studios didn’t want to do this to the fans, but they had no choice. But there is hope. And hope is something that is alive in every one of us. Let me share with you a movie idea for LPS that I think you’ll all enjoy.
The Little Pet Shop Movie
Blythe Baxter was just a baby girl living with her mother Betty and her father Roger. But one day they both get news that Betty Baxter has died, which really makes them sad.
In the present day, Blythe is getting ready for another day at the Littlest Pet Shop. The pets were all talking about their past experiences and Blythe's previous accomplishments. She says that she wishes her mother could've been there to see it and that she would’ve been so proud of her. But suddenly, Speedy Shellberg and his parrot carrier return to the shop with a message from Blythe´s mom about an upcoming event called the Most Ultimate Pet Convention Ever Devised, or M.U.P.C.E.D., for short. Blythe has to enter her kiosk into the competition and if she doesn’t win, the Biskits will put Littlest Pet Shop out of business -- permanently! She decides to get the help of Roger, Youngmee, Sue, Jasper, and Mrs. Twombly and heads off to the convention. Little do they know that the Biskits were following them at every turn, waiting to sabotage Blythe´s chances at winning the M.U.P.C.E.D.
Along the way, she returns to her old home, Hometown, for the first time since her move, looks for new designs stored in her old home, and participates in a couple of live TV shows as part of overcoming her camera shyness.
On the day of the convention, Blythe heads to the M.U.P.C.E.D. with her kiosk and sets it up at her station. Despite her objections as to something going wrong, she decides to tour the convention for only a few minutes. The Biskits steal her kiosk at the time and Blythe eventually finds out. It wasn’t long before a security guard caught her without her kiosk and throws Blythe and the pets out of the convention area.
Blythe tearfully mourns this until a vision of her mother appears and helps her daughter regain her confidence and self-esteem.
A dump truck driven by the Biskits’ butler Francois can be heard driving away from the M.U.P.C.E.D building with Blythe’s kiosk in it. Blythe and the pets chase after it, get it cleaned up, and make it back to the convention with minutes to spare. When the Biskits see Blythe’s kiosk back in place, they immediately plunge into an argument with seems to gather a crowd. Mona Autumn comes by and demands to know what is going on. Francois comes in and confesses what he did to sabotage Blythe and her pet friends yet again. The Biskits revoke that they would’ve gotten away with it if it wasn’t for the pets, and they call them nasty things. This engages them to attack the twins and cause the entire crowd to laugh at them. Fisher comes in and grounds them and takes them away.
Later, the finals were doing their fashion shows on stage and afterward, Blythe Baxter is announced the winner. While she is happy that she won, she says that she didn’t succeed in finding her mother in the process. But Blythe suddenly hears her voice and rejoices as they both reunite.
One month after the convention, more and more people are coming to Littlest Pet Shop and Littlest Pet Street. Mrs. Twombly announces that all the money Blythe won has permanently put Largest Ever Pet Shop out of business. The last shot before the credits shows Blythe putting her group picture in her family photo album.
In one part of the credits, we see all the characters of the movie having a dance party in Littlest Pet Street. And all the while, the Biskits are packing their supplies and moving way from Downtown City since they lost their pet shop. In the end, the Baxters are reunited, Littlest Pet Shop stays in business, and LEPS and the Biskits are gone for good.

The movie described above wouldn’t just be a movie, it would be considered the true finale for Littlest Pet Shop -- and for good reasons.
- We get the exclusive appearance of Blythe’s Mom (whom I think should be voiced by Amy Poehler)
- Blythe finally resolves her feelings for Josh Sharp at the end of the movie
- The Biskits lose their pet shop and move away from Downtown City for good (and they definitely do not move into Hometown)
- Every recurring character that didn’t appear in “Littlest Pet Street” appears in this movie, especially in the dance party scene
- Blythe overcomes her camera shyness once and for all
- Blythe returns to her old home, Hometown, for a visit and reunites with all her old friends
- New characters are introduced exclusively in this movie
- The rest of Blythe’s friends -- including Mrs. Twombly -- would be let in on Blythe’s secret
- A couple of songs from Ashleigh Ball’s band, Hey Ocean!, would be used.
- The last few minutes of the credits would have the song “My Biggest Secret” (from “The Secret Recipe”) play in the background, but with an extra verse added to it
Now, before you refuse to sign this petition, I’d like all you LPS fanatics to take a moment to think. Think about what would happen if someday, Hasbro makes the decision to stop doing reruns of Littlest Pet Shop (2012). That would probably devastate you all even worse than when season 4 was announced to be the show’s final season. The reruns are the only things Hasbro Studios even uses this show for anymore, and for some of the fans, that’s just not okay.
And another thing: what if there are still some LPS (2012) toys being sold in toy stores, but the amount of products are slim and you feel like you have to just get it before it’s too late? Maybe the only explanation for this is that those toys are still being produced, but in secrecy.
My point here is, it’s about time Littlest Pet Shop had its own movie, just like My Little Pony did back in 2017, because MLPFIM and LPS are practically sisters, with them having the same kind of animation, the same music composers, and a lot of the same actors/actresses.
This movie would be LPS’ official comeback after years of being cancelled. If this movie were to become a reality -- that is, to say, if it turned out to be a success -- the toy sales for the show would be back in production for perhaps a long time to come, only better than ever, and the series would be wrapped up entirely.
That’s why I ask all the LPS fans, the former workers of Littlest Pet Shop, and the soon-to-be ex-bronies to show Hasbro Studios that you care about the future of LPS and how the crew deserves a second chance, because if this show has taught anyone anything, it’s that thrift stores aren’t the only thing second chances are for.
We need to do this for Blythe, her pet friends, her human friends, for the Littlest Pet Shop, and for each other before the reruns stop and the show becomes forgotten -- forever.
We all need this movie.
I need this movie.
