My dnd character, Hayden, needs a smol dragon to care for. Because he has been lonely his whole life. But my DM refuses to give Hayden a tiny dragon. Now I know that dragons can be op, that's why I suggested to have a wounded and virtually useless dragon. It won't do anything, just stay in Hayden's bag and eat a sandwich from time to time. He would cuddle with Hayden too, because that's what smol dragons are for right ?

I support Hayden and his lil dragon friend as long as it fits into the campaign and world that his DM has set. DM gets final say.

A noble goal. If you need stats, I highly recommend the Luck Dragon monster. It's just very cute, and you can drop the Advantage thing if your DM doesn't want it to do anything (though Advantage once per day is still very mild). https://imgur.com/y603bwG

The player clarified they wanted a pseudodragon which is totally normal. Let them have their fun! A pseudodragon isn't even game-breaking if they had it in combat. Maybe charge them a feat *at most* for it. If they meant a legit dragon wyrmling, that's totally different.
