In the state of New Jersey there is no good Samaritan law.
Help me in getting legislature to approve good samaritan law in New Jersey!!
The importance of this law is that it would allow you to *legally* break a window if you see a dog clearly in distress while left in the car on a hot summer day!! As of right now, if you were to break a window to save "fido," you could face jail time. So let's get this bill moving in legislature!

I am drafting a formal proposal for the state legislature to address the legal liability currently facing citizens who intervene in animal distress cases. My next step involves coordinating with legal experts to ensure the bill language aligns with existing statutes and provides clear protection for rescuers.

The current momentum has prompted several legislative aides to request a briefing on the proposed language for this bill. I am now coordinating meetings with state officials to present our case for changing the existing liability statutes.

Agreed! I can't believe that there are no good samaritan laws in place in NJ. A worthy mission!

Saw a dog panting so hard in a parking lot last week and felt helpless. This needs to pass ASAP.
