A - to show the local strength of feeling about Sammy’s treatment;
B - to reinforce the drop in service standards since Sammy’s contract was ended in Feb; Hermes delivery standards are inconsistent at best, woeful at worst - unlike when Sammy was in place - you could set your watch by him;
C - Sammy was sacked despite having multiple valid exemptions from mask wearing, still attempting to at times, and implementing other safety measures to comply with extant regulations;
D - Hermes failed in their duties to engage with Sammy over his exemptions, NOR did they respond to his appeal within their own stated time scales;
E - Despite their poor treatment of both customers and contractors, the reputational impact of Sammy’s exceptional service and encyclopaedic knowledge of his customers’ routines, safe places, supportive neighbours etc, raised their status locally.

Please reinstate Sammy. He also deserves the respect to be communicated with about why he was dismissed and have a chance to appeal. This would be the minimum the company could do
Play the game Hermes and listen to your customers, you should take pride in having an exceptional employee. And remember an exemption is in place for a reason not fun. Reinstate Sammy now.
The treatment of Sammy Hayes by Hermes , is totally unacceptable , by anyone’s standards . The fact that Hermes have thus far refused to enter into dialogue with Sammy , breaching their own procedures is nothing more than shocking !!
Hermes give the worst service and have some of the worst drivers out there. In sayin that I've been lucky enough to have Sammy as a courier and must say he's been amazing. Always goes above and beyond for his customers and gives them a great service from a company that's a shambles. This guy needs his job back ASAP!
Hopefully this man gets reinstated for his marvellous customer service throughout the years and his dependability you could always rely on Sammy not like other hermes drivers that leave your parcel on your door handle and send you a photo when your not home ?
Shocking way to treat staff didn't realise this had happened Sammy was always very reliable,
Great at his job we want him back now

Myself and my family have known Sammy Hayes for over 15 years. He was our neighbour until he moved away. He is hard working and reliable. Sammy very seldom took a holiday. We are shocked at how Sammy is being treated. He is exempt from wearing a mask. He should be reinstated.
