Honor The Vote!

This petition is to send a clear and united voice to the Republican Party and its Leadership that the citizens of the United States should have whom they choose by primary election, not a closed-door, back-deal convention.

The Republican Party and its Leadership have consistently told its members to coalesce, support, and PRESENT A UNITED FRONT for prior nominees, even though the members had strong objections (i.e., Dole, McCain, Romney). The Republican Party and its Leadership have always espoused that if members did not support and “get out the vote” for the Republican nominee (chosen by the primaries) that the members would be voting FOR THE OTHER PARTY, and a Democrat would be elected president. And, as history shows, those presidential elections were lost due to the absence of enthusiastic member support and votes.

Well, now the Republican Party and its Leadership have a wonderful opportunity to LEAD BY EXAMPLE and support the nomination of its members (chosen by the primaries). The Republican Party and its Leadership is being put to the test—does it believe what it has been saying regarding past presidential elections or has it just been rhetoric?

Our country has been built upon free elections—who is the Republican Party and its Leadership to supplant the will of its members? Think about it. Which side of history does the Republican Party and its Leaders want to be on…supporting the will of the people or overriding it?
