HPHS and DFHS' graduations at Ravinia Festival are a long standing-tradition in Highland Park. The tickets are limited to pavilion seating, and in years like this one, there are only five tickets allotted per family for graduation. Many families have expressed a desire for more seating and potentially opening the lawn up to guests in excess of ticket allotment for grandparents, blended family members and any others who wish to come and support their graduate.

Please consider signing below as a show of support for District 113 to continue preparations with Ravinia to offer 4 FREE additional lawn seats per family (in addition to the 5 pavilion tickets assigned per family) for HPHS and DFHS graduation ceremonies - this year and going forward as needed.

The request is for large monitors for viewing for those in the lawn. Lawn attendees will provide their own seating and be responsible for area clean up. It is each lawn attendees' responsibility to consider the weather conditions in their decision of whether or not to attend and also to dress accordingly.

This is an antiquated tradition that needs to be changed to support changing family dynamics.

The limits are extremely difficult for divorced and remarried parents and results in exclusion of all siblings and grandparents for my daughter

My wife and I we have 4 kids and very involved grandparents thank God!! I can't imagine that we'll have to decide who can go and who can't!!!

I have a huge family including 2 sets of grandparents for my daughter. How could I possibly chose and tell 2 of them can not attend their granddaughters graduation. Please consider the idea to opening the lawn. Thank you!

4 tickets is never enough for each family, I went to HP and had only enough tickets for my mom dad and two brothers so my other brother and his fiancée couldn’t come

Why not? Seems like a no-brainer and an easy solution. It isa lot of the HPHS and DFHS community that continues to support the schools and Ravinia too.
