WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, oppose the proposed location of a permanent or temporary dredge spoils transfer site. We believe the proposed location at the Lynnhaven Boat Ramp, during construction and while in use, would disable the Lynnhaven Boat Ramp facility, create a safety hazard for neighborhood children, impede traffic on Shore Drive, obstruct boat traffic in and around the Inlet, create an environmental threat to the health of the River, pose a risk to the Lesner Bridge and represents the least cost effective means of executing this project, among other objections. We ask that City Council and Mayor direct the City\'s Public Works Department to seek another site to accomplish the task of dredging the Western Branch.

A proposed *Permanent* Dredge Spoils Transfer Station Operation could share the LBR with you.
IF the Operation gets approved, pleasure boats will share the channel with the loaded & unloaded 48 ft barges, and the few thousand dump trucks will have to yield to traffic & pedestrians when they are sharing the parking lot with you.
