The Sports Council of Glasgow has officially approved the construction of a new ice rink. Thank you to the 408 people who added their signatures to this effort. I will provide further information as the project moves into the planning stage.

The response from the Sports Council remains dismissive of the genuine need for local skating facilities. I am currently preparing a formal follow-up to address their disregard for our community interest.

Ridiculous that we have to travel all the way to braehead just to skate. glasgow needs its own rink finally.
My kids would absolutely love this. such a shame there is no where to go locally.
Used to love going when I was younger miss it so much. bring it back for the new generation.
The council are a joke telling people to just pick a different sport. we want ice skating simple as that.
Yes pls. tired of going to the same places every weekend. need something fresh in the city centre.

ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. Every other major city has one. get it done.
