I have finished drafting a formal request for policy review and sent it to the local oversight committee. We are currently waiting for a confirmation of receipt before we determine the next phase of our outreach.

This is completely out of control. My neighbor lost their golden retriever just last month over nothing. There has to be a better way than just reaching for a gun every time they get scared.
I used to respect police but all these stories of killing innocent animals is sickening it's making me utterly hate cops there is no reason for this evil your lives are not in any danger why take a life your just evil blood thirsty monsters I've lost every ounce of respect I've ever had for police they are nothing but evil cowards
because i love animals and i feel awful is something bad happens to a family pet

Heartbreaking. They are family members not just animals. Stop shooting our dogs!!!
